He finds out more about KAD and learns it can be dangerous. John is able to communicate with KAD and it appears that he is the only one to help restore power to KAD, but he must keep this all a secret. Things get intense when federal agents are on to John's discovery. Will he be able to help KAD? And what else will he discover?
A fast paced sci-fi/adventure/coming-of-age story. This story melts the life of John a sophomore in high school, with science fiction. He starts dating a girl for the first time, faces daily teenage challenges and has the new discovery of this foreign object. John is very likable, his problems are true to life. The discovery of KAD makes the story adventurous, intriguing, suspenseful and intense. I feel that lovers of sci-fi with a bit of high school romance will enjoy KAD. I feel it is suitable to Young Adult as well as Adult readers.
